Ford & Etal Estate
Nestling between the Scottish Border, Cheviot Hills and dramatic Northumbrian coastline, lies Ford & Etal Estates.
Inland from Holy Island , the two villages of Ford and Etal are at the centre of this large working country estate. Spanning nearly 16,500 acres, it offers many and varied attractions, including a castle, celebrated murals, Flodden Battlefield, a fully operational water mill, and a narrow gauge steam railway. For those interested in natural history, Ford Moss Nature Reserve and the Fenton Centre are a must. Picnic spots are abound and, of course, there are plenty of places to enjoy a refreshing drink or a meal.
